Reusable
Reusable packaging or packaging materials can be used again in the future after they hold your product. Packaging is reusable whether you can reuse it for the same purpose or for a completely different purpose. For example, a customer could reuse a box to ship a return back to your company or to transport the fragile product inside on their next move. Or they might reuse the box to store items or let their kid turn it into a “rocket ship.”
You can design your product packaging with reusability in mind by giving it multiple purposes. For example, if you sell children’s clothing, you could put it in a box that can be used as a dollhouse. Or you can sell a drink in a bottle that can be cleaned and reused over and over again.
Why should use Reusable
Creating reusable packaging addresses one of the major factors affecting climate change, consumerism. By increasing the way that your packaging can be reused in the future, you reduce its environmental impact.
You can incorporate reusable packaging as a way to encourage your customers to be more environment-friendly. By doing so, you also keep the product packaging out of a landfill longer.
At the same time, remember that reusing something will reduce its structural integrity. If your packaging is reusable, make sure it is sturdy enough to be used again or give customers clear guidelines on how many times they can reuse it.
